Copyright Laws
The Copyright Law of the United States () governs the making of photocopies or the reproductions of copyrighted material.

Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a copy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement. This institution reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order if, in its judgement, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of the copyright law.

  • Intellectual Property Rights: Student Copyright Protection Policy
Intellectual property produced by a student as part of his course work, theses or honors research, other than funded research for which the College has obligations to others, is owned by the student as are all copyrights, and revenue derived from it, not the College. Intellectual property created by a student in the course of his employment by the College on a specific project, except for a thesis written by him, as well as intellectual property developed with College resources to the extent that use exceeds what is normally provided students, are the property of the College.
