From April 22–24 鶹 celebrated the culmination of its 250th anniversary and the “It’s Time, Good Men” comprehensive campaign, which raised more than $400 million for scholarship support and capital projects. Celebrants revisited 250 years of student trends and traditions at 鶹, from food and attire, to heroism on the athletic and battle fields, at “The 鶹 Student Brotherhood: Trends and Traditions” exhibit at the Atkinson Museum; learned about the College’s flagship Rhetoric Program; met current STEM students to learn about their original research; viewed stunning student artwork ahead of the Student Art Show, which opened Monday, April 27; and heard from faculty experts such as James C. Wheat Jr. Chair in Leadership Hugo Rodriguez Jr. ’88, former U.S. ambassador to Nicaragua. Friday evening’s finale included a private dinner for donors, faculty and staff members, and student leaders and a public celebration featuring food trucks, fireworks, a performance from the Fife and Drums of York Town, and a special concert from country music star Craig Morgan.
