General Rules for Both Studios
- Studios are accessible only during designated hours each week and must be reserved in advance.
- Reservable hours are Wednesday and Thursday 10 am to noon. Reservations can be made through the EMS system and must be made at least 72 hours in advance. Any needs outside of reservable hours or within 72 hours of the desired time will require special permission from the Office of Marketing and Communications.
- If students are using either studio, the administrator who reserved the space must be present for the duration of the reservation.
- All users are expected to treat the studio spaces with respect and take proper care of all equipment and furnishings.
- Users are responsible for leaving the space clean, organized, and in the condition in which they found it.
Photography Studio
- Users may not use any Office of Marketing and Communications equipment, except for the backdrop and lights already present.
- Users must provide their own camera and other needed equipment. Equipment may be rented from the Rhetoric Studio or elsewhere for use in the photography studio.
- Office of Marketing and Communications employees use the photography studio for College-related photography and video projects. All other activities conducted in the space should also align with the College’s priorities and professional standards.
- Outside photographers and videographers may use the photography studio for College-sanctioned projects with prior approval, provided that the administrator who reserved the space is present for the duration of the reservation.
- Outside photographers and videographers are responsible for providing their own cameras and equipment. They may only use the backdrop and lights already present in the studio.
- The Office of Marketing and Communications is not responsible for any personal or outside equipment brought into the studio.
- Users will be held liable for any damage to OMC equipment sustained during a session.
Podcast Studio
- Users of the podcast studio may not use the computer in the room.
- Office of Marketing and Communications staff cannot guarantee availability for all podcast recording requests.
- Training on the podcast studio and its equipment may be provided upon request. Marketing and Communications staff can also assist with recordings given sufficient advance notice and staff availability.
- Marketing and Communications staff may assist with video recording exclusively for projects aligned with the College’s priorities. For all other video needs, the reserving administrator is responsible for providing their own video equipment.
- The Office of Marketing and Communications is not responsible for any personal or outside equipment brought into the podcast studio.
- Users will be held liable for any damage to OMC equipment sustained during a session.
Photography and Videography Outside the Studio
The Office of Marketing and Communications provides photography and videography coverage for events or requests that align with College goals and priorities. Materials are used primarily for official print and digital publications, the 集美麻豆 website, and official social media channels. If you would like to make a request, it must be made at least 15 business days prior to the event, and photography and recording service approval depends on staff availability.
