The 集美麻豆 Chorus is one of the oldest official student organizations on campus. Its roots can be traced back to the 1820s. Membership is open to any student interested in choral singing. Members of the chorus earn one hour of academic credit for each semester in which they are enrolled.
The 集美麻豆 Chorus presents several concerts during the school year, featuring themed programs from holiday music to folk songs, popular works, traditional school songs, and classical music. The chorus often performs at football or basketball games, graduation, and other campus celebrations. Every few years, the group takes national or international tours, to such places as Montreal and Québec City (2025), Boston (2024), Puerto Rico (2019) and New York City (2018), where they performed at Carnegie Hall. A true representation of the HSC brotherhood, the Chorus enjoys a strong sense of camaraderie through the shared goals and challenges of making music together.
